Northern Territory Police have stopped a large quantity of alcohol from entering the alcohol protected community of Daly River.

Police conducted rolling road side breath tests and alcohol protected area checks along Daly River Road yesterday. As a result, 73 litres of alcohol was located and seized by police and four liquor infringement notices were issued.

Police also found one driver to be unlicensed and travelling with an infant in the front seat, resulting in two traffic infringement notices.

Anyone with information on the transportation of liquor into an alcohol protected area is asked to notify police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
