Northern Territory Police have charged a 40-year-old man with drug and traffic offences.
Police observed the male hooning at Angurugu around 9:30am on Wednesday. The vehicle was stopped and the man, who was believed to under the influence of cannabis, was apprehended. Police conducted a search of the vehicle and located indicia of drug use.
Police seized the vehicle for 48-hours under anti-hooning legislation.
The man was later charged with:
- Breach Of Bail
- Drive Unlicensed
- Drive Vehicle – Cause Loss Of Traction
- Drive With Prohibited Drug In Body
- Drive Under The Influence Of A Dangerous Drug
- Possess Thing – Administer Dangerous Drug
The man was bailed to appear in Alyangula Local Court on 27 August 2018.
