Northern Territory Police have charged a 22-year-old male with property offences.

The male allegedly broke into a Palmerston business and consumed multiple cans of alcohol before falling asleep inside sometime during the night on 5 January.

Staff arrived at the business around 5:30am the next morning and sighted the male. Police were notified and he was arrested at the scene.

He was charged with:

• Damage to Property
• Aggravated Unlawful Entry
• Stealing

He was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
