Charges – Stealing – Palmerston CBD

Police

Strike Force Trident investigators have charged a 28-year-old woman in relation to an incident where a double amputee was assaulted and had property stolen on 9 September 2019.

The woman is also involved in two other separate stealing incidents from businesses in the Palmerston CBD.

She has been charged with three counts of stealing and one count of assault.

Police bail has been refused and she is expected to appear in Darwin Local Court tomorrow.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan said this is a great result culminating from great work from general duties police and persistent investigation from Trident investigators.

“A third woman has also been identified and once her whereabouts is determined she will be apprehended.”
