Charges – Robbery – Nightcliff

Northern Territory Police have charged three youths in relation to multiple assaults on Tuesday, 1 October.

The three males were in the area of Coconut Grove around 6:00pm when one of them kicked a vehicle. The occupant of the vehicle made his way to a nearby business on foot where the same offender punched him to the face prior to punching an employee of the business to the face.

The group made their way to Nightcliff Foreshore where they demanded money from a male before assaulting him at approximately 7:00pm.

Around 8:45pm, the group assaulted three males in two separate incidents after demanding money.

Following patrols, police located the youths a short time later. Whilst being taken into custody, the youths spat at police officers. One of the youths threw an unidentified object at a police officer, narrowly missing him.

Two males, aged 13 and 15, were remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Youth Justice Court on 4 October. The third male, aged 13, was bailed to appear on the same date.
