Northern Territory Police have charged a 39-year-old man with drug offences following the seizure of cannabis plants.
Detectives from the Drug and Organised Crime Squad executed a search warrant at a Humpty Doo address on Friday 1 March 2019.
During the search police located a hydroponics grow room containing 27 cannabis plants. Police also located a less than traffickable quantity of cannabis plant material, a drug implement, multiple mobile telephones and numerous chemicals and equipment used in the cultivation of cannabis.
Police also discovered a magnet had been placed on the power meter which restricted the meter from operating correctly.
The man was arrested and charged with:
- Cultivate Prohibited Plant – Commercial Quantity
- Possess Schedule 2 Drug – Commercial Quantity
- Possess Thing To Administer
- Unlawful Appropriation Of Power
He was bailed to appear in Darwin Local Court on 15 March 2019.
