Charges – Drug offences – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have arrested three people in relation to drug offences.

A 31-year-old man was apprehended by police on Lyndavale Drive around 6:50m on 11 March 2019. Police conducted a roadside drug test and the man returned a positive result for methamphetamine.

He was charged with:
• Drug Driving
• Administer Dangerous Drug to Self
• Possess Thing – Administer Dangerous Drug

He was bailed to appear to appear in Alice Springs Local Court at a later date.

Police executed a search warrant at a Larapinta residence later that day. They located a traffickable quantity of MDMA and less than traffickable quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine. Police also located unsecured ammunition, a ‘taser torch’, $550 cash and items indicative of drug supply.

A 25-year-old woman was charged with possess MDMA – traffickable quantity.

A 29-year-old male resident was arrested later the same day.

He was charged with:
• Possess MDMA – Traffickable Quantity
• Possess Cocaine
• Possess Methamphetamine
• Possess Tainted Property
• Unsecured Ammunition
• Possess Prohibited Weapon

The 25-year-old woman and 29-year-old man were remanded in custody. They are due to appear in Alice Springs Local Court today.
