Northern Territory Police have arrested a 31-year-old male following an alleged aggravated robbery yesterday morning.
Police allege the 31-year-old and an unknown co-offender unlawfully entered a licensed premises in Jingili and stole alcohol on three separate occasions between 4:00am and 8:30am on 2 September.
During the third unlawful entry, the offenders were approached by the manager of the location who had just arrived. The 31-year-old struck the manager to the face with a bottle of spirits. Other staff members came to the manager’s assistance and restrained the 31-year-old until police arrived. The unknown co-offender fled into nearby bushland.
The 31-year-old was remanded in custody and charged with:
- 3x Aggravated Unlawful Entry
- 3x Stealing
- 1x Damage To Property
- 1x Aggravated Robbery
