Northern Territory Police are appealing for information after a structure fire in Tennant Creek on Christmas Day.

Fire investigators believe the blaze which extensively damaged a house, car and shipping container was deliberately lit.

Northern Territory Fire and Rescue Services have referred the matter to NT Police for further investigation.

Members of the public with information about the fire are encouraged to call NT Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous.

Police investigations into the fire are ongoing.
