Senior Outlaw Motor Cycle Gang member arrested

On Thursday, 19 September 2019, Detectives from the Gangs Taskforce executed a drug search warrant at a residence in Driver; where methamphetamine, implements that were indicative of drug use and fireworks were located.

Investigations continued and on Tuesday, 24 September 2019 a 47-year-old male who is the President of the Darwin Chapter of the Rebels Outlaw Motor Cycle Gang was arrested at his home in Howard Springs.

This man was charged with:

  • Breach and Domestic Violence Order;
  • Aggravated Assault (male/female);
  • Possession of a trafficable quantity of methamphetamine (ice);
  • Possession of a an implement to administer a dangerous drug x 2 counts; and
  • Possession of fireworks outside of a prescribed period.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at the Darwin Local Court on Wednesday, 25 September 2019.

Officer in Charge of the Gangs Taskforce, Detective Senior Sergeant Lee Morgan said; “Police will continue to pro-actively target any person associated with a criminal gang.  These gang members and their associates often behave like they are above the law, their unlawful behaviour will not be tolerated in the NT community.”
