A 33-year-old woman will appear before the Alice Springs Local Court on multiple drug related charges today.

Just before 11am on Saturday members of the Southern Drug Investigations Unit stopped a vehicle on Larapinta Drive for the purpose of a road side drug test.

The female driver and sole occupant of the vehicle is alleged to have returned a positive reading for methamphetamine. It will be further alleged a quantity of Schedule 1 dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia were located throughout the vehicle.

The woman was arrested and charged with;

• Supply schedule 1 dangerous drug – less commercial
• Possess schedule 1 dangerous drug – traffickable quantity
• Administer dangerous drug to self
• Drive unlicensed
• Drive with prohibited drug in blood
