Northern Territory Police have formally identified a female whose body was found at Lambells Lagoon yesterday morning.

The cause of death is yet to be determined however investigators believe there are no suspicious circumstances at this time.

The crime scene has been closed and investigations are ongoing.

Police continue to call for witnesses, in particular any person with dash cam footage who travelled along the Arnhem Highway in the vicinity of Lambells Lagoon and Wanderrie Road on Friday afternoon 21 September.
