Northern Territory Police continue to investigate the death of a man after the helicopter he was travelling in crashed at a remote station in Central Australia today.

The second man travelling in the helicopter has been conveyed by air to Alice Springs Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified and are expected to arrive at the scene tomorrow to commence their investigation.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
