Update 2 - Missing Person - Edith Falls

Police

Northern Territory Police are seeking public assistance in relation to the disappearance of Alex Rosenberg.

Mr Rosenberg arrived at Edith Falls campground and completed a short walk on the Leliyn Track (Edith Falls Loop Track) to the top rock pools of Edith Falls on Saturday 18 August 2018. He spent a portion of early Saturday evening with other campers at a nearby site where he outlined his intention to walk to Sweetwater Pool, approximately an eight kilometre round trip, early the next morning.

He was last seen on the Leliyn Track around 10:30am on Sunday 19 August 2018. It appeared he was returning from the direction of Sweetwater Pool.

Extensive land and underwater searches have failed to locate Mr Rosenberg or any items he may have had with him at the time of his disappearance.

His caravan and vehicle were still located at his campsite and found to be in a neat and tidy condition.

Mr Rosenberg is 67-years-old and is described as just under six-foot tall with fair complexion, grey hair, and of lean to medium build. It is believed he may have been wearing a khaki shirt, black/khaki hat, black shorts, and Salomon hiking boots. He also had a small black or blue day pack or Camelbak and a walking pole. It is believed he had a Samsung Edge mobile phone and a Samsung Galaxy Tablet in his possession.

It is requested that if members of the public find any of the above items of interest in the Edith Falls area that appear to be lost or discarded in the bush or along walking tracks to note the location and call Crime Stoppers.

Police ask anyone who may have sighted Mr Rosenberg on Sunday 19 August 2018 to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
