Northern Territory Police have arrested two people in relation to property offences in Katherine.

In the early hours of Monday 10 December a group of males are alleged to have forced entry into a residential premises and stolen alcoholic beverages and food items.

A resident observed the intruders in the kitchen and police were notified a short time after.

A 22-year-old male was arrested later that morning and bailed. A 13-year-old male was arrested around 8:40am the following day and bailed. He has been denied youth diversion.

Both were charged with;

  • Unlawful entry
  • Stealing
  • Armed with an offensive weapon at night

Police have identified further offenders and investigations are continuing.
