Northern Territory Police are investigating the death of a female at Lambells Lagoon.

A member of the public located the woman’s body and notified police around 9:30 this morning.

At this stage the circumstances surrounding her death are unclear.

Major Crime and Major Crash Investigators are at the scene.

Traffic diversions are in place while investigations continue.
