Stolen Firearms - Assistance Sought - Darwin

NT Police are requesting public assistance to locate five firearms stolen from a Leanyer residence overnight.

Sometime between 2:00am and 4:00am unknown offenders forced entry into a shed on Hodgson Drive.

A set of keys discovered during the unlawful entry gave them access to a gun safe; firearms and some ammunition were stolen.

The offender may have stored the firearms in a blue ‘Kookaburra’ cricket bag, which was also stolen from the residence.

Police are requesting anyone with information, or who may have seen someone in the area around the above time, to please contact 131 444 or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A number of items were stolen from the location, including:

  • Rizzini 12G SUO # 27962
  • Browning .22LR RLA # 04054RP126
  • Winchester 30.30 Model 94 RLA # 4477677                     
  • Parker Hale .243 Winchester RBA # 758078
  • Aguirre y Aranzabal 12G SSB # 324921                           
  • Ammunition for 12G shotgun, .22 and 30.30 rounds

Several other edged weapons were also stolen including:

  • 1x black & white Samurai sword;
  • 3x goose knives
