Police are requesting public assistance in relation to two separate incidents late on 5 July and in the early hours of Friday 6 July.

The first incident occurred on Larapinta Drive sometime between 9:00pm and 12:30am.

A man was approached by two males between Fogarty Street and Milner Road.

The victim was assaulted by the two men and property allegedly stolen.

The second incident occurred on Barrett Drive around 4:00am when a male was approached by a white 4WD.

Two male occupants have exited the vehicle and assaulted the victim while attempting to steal property from him.

Police believe that a number of people were on Barrett Drive at the time and request anyone who witnessed the assault to please contact them.

Both victims were treated for their injuries at the Alice Springs Hospital.

Police do not know at this stage if the incidents were related.
