Pedestrian killed - Maranboy

Police

A 32-year-old male was killed last night after he was struck by a vehicle.

The incident occurred around 11pm on the Central Arnhem Road, approximately 8km from Maranboy.

It is believed the man was sitting on the road when he was struck. The driver of the vehicle immediately called Triple Zero but sadly the injuries sustained were too severe to overcome.

Alcohol and speed were not factors.

This raises the Northern Territory’s road toll to 26, compared to 12 this time last year.
