A 58-year-old male has been confirmed deceased after a single-vehicle crash on the Barkly Highway, approximately 60 kilometres west of the Tablelands Highway.

It is believed the deceased was the sole occupant of the vehicle. 

An investigation into the crash has commenced.

Police are also making attempts to contact the next of kin and family of the male.

The Northern Territory’s road toll now stands at 47, compared to 27 this time last year.
