Parliament House is currently being evacuated due to a HAZMAT incident.

Initial information indicates there was a strong smell of chlorine coming from an unknown location.

People in the building were evacuated as a precautionary measure. There are no reported injuries, however some people have experienced eye discomfort.

WorkSafe NT have been notified.
