A 24-year-old woman will appear before the Alice Springs Local Court after she was found in possession of methamphetamine in Alice Springs overnight.
The woman was driving on Larapinta Drive when she was pulled over by members of the Southern Drug Investigations Unit around 8pm.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located 3.5grams of methamphetamine, an MDMA pill, a prohibited weapon and a drug implement
It is alleged during the arrest, the woman physically assaulted one of the officers.
The woman will appear before court on the following charges today;
- Possess methamphetamine – traffickable quantity – public place
- Supply methamphetamine – less than commercial quantity
- Possess MDMA – public place
- Possess thing to administer drug
- Possess prohibited weapon
- Administer dangerous drug to self
- Drug Driving
- Assault Police
