A 76-year-old male has passed away in Yulara after attempting to ascend Uluru.

Emergency services responded to a call yesterday around 4pm but sadly the man was declared deceased by attending medical personnel.

The death is being treated as non-suspicious and police are preparing a file for the Coroner.
