Charges Unlawful Entry Alice Springs

Police have charged a 16-year-old male in relation to three unlawful entries that occurred in Alice Springs between December 2017 and January 2018.

It is alleged sometime between December 25 and 26, the youth entered a business on the corner of Smith and Priest Streets and smashed a car window before leaving the premises.

Police allege the same youth and another unknown offender unlawfully entered a home on Larapinta Drive and stole a handbag containing cash and cards while the occupant was asleep around 3:25am on January 2.

It was reported to police that sometime on January 5 the youth and another person unlawfully entered a home in Spicer Crescent where they stole car keys and the car and drove it to the community of Engawala.

The stolen motor vehicle was later recovered by police at Engawala.

Police have charged the 16-year-old male with

  • Trespass
  • Damage to property x 2
  • Unlawful entry x 2
  • Stealing x 2
  • Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle

He is schedule to appear before the Youth Court on February 19.
