Police have arrested six youths in relation to the unlawful entry of a business in Alice Springs.
It is alleged three youths unlawfully entered and stole a vehicle from a Hartley Street business around 7:20pm on Sunday.
It is alleged the three picked up another three youths in the now stolen motor vehicle and drove in a dangerous manner around Alice Springs, involving Police in pursuits throughout the evening.
Around 9:20pm the vehicle was travelling on the Stuart Highway in the Gap area when Police successfully deployed a Tyre Deflation Device.
The vehicle stopped and all occupants ran from the vehicle and were arrested by Police a short distance away. The youths were taken to the Alice Springs Watch House and subsequently charged.
One 10-year-old and two 13-years-olds will be considered for Youth Pre-Court Diversion.
Two 13-year-olds will face the Alice Springs Youth Court on the following charges:
Unlawful entry
Stealing
Damage to property
Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle
One 13-year-old (the driver) will face the Alice Springs Youth Court on the following charges:
Unlawful entry
Stealing
Damage to property
Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle
Drive manner Dangerous during Police Pursuit
Drive unlicenced
Breach of bail
