Northern Territory Police have arrested a 29-year-old male for drug and weapon offences.
Around 1:00am on Monday, 11 June, police allege the male was sighted driving in a dangerous manner. As a result, police apprehended the vehicle and commenced a search.
Police located and seized:
- approximately 1.5 grams of methamphetamine
- one used glass ice pipe
- a homemade taser
- a small bladed knuckle knife
- a dagger knife
- a throwing axe
Police also observed a set of digital scales and multiple unused clip-seal bags in the vehicle.
The male was arrested and taken to Darwin Watch House where he tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine.
He was charged with:
- Possess schedule 1 dangerous drug less than trafficable quantity (public place)
- Possess thing to administer dangerous drug
- Possess use or carry a prohibited weapon x 3
- Possess use or carry a controlled weapon
- Driver drive under the influence of drugs
- Drive vehicle in a manner dangerous
He is due to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
