Serious Crime Detectives have charged two men after more than $50,000 was allegedly stolen by an employee of a licensed premises in Darwin and an accomplice.
It is alleged that on September 27 2018, a Keno customer purchased a winning ticket before being led to believe that he had not won.
The 36-year-old accomplice later came into possession of the winning Keno ticket with a cash prize of $53,353.60.
Police yesterday executed a search warrant at a residence uncovering a quantity of cash believed to have been part of the winnings.
The accomplice and a 35-year-old employee of the venue were each charged with one count of criminal deception and stealing.
They are scheduled to appear in Darwin Local Court on 26 November 2018.
