Crime Division Detectives have charged an 18-year-old man following an incident which occurred around 2:40pm on 21 January 2018, at the Palmerston Bus Exchange.

An 18-year-old female sustained multiple injuries before waving down a bus and requesting assistance. She was later transported to Royal Darwin Hospital.

The alleged offender handed himself into police yesterday. He has been charged with:

• Aggravated recklessly endangering serious harm
• Stealing

He was remanded in custody and will appear in the Darwin Local Court today.
