Police are seeking public assistance in relation to a disturbance at Araluen Park in Alice Springs on Sunday February 11.

Initial reports to police were that a group of people were fighting with sticks at the northern end of Araluen Park around 12:30pm.

During the incident, a 58-year-old man received non-life threatening head injuries and a broken arm and was transported to the Alice Springs Hospital for treatment.

Detective Senior Constable Antemes said police believe there may be witnesses to the incident: 

“The fight happened close enough to the road that people travelling on Larapinta Drive at the time would have seen something.”
