Call for witnesses – Assault – Moulden

Northern Territory Police are appealing for information after a taxi driver was assaulted in Moulden overnight.

The minibus driver was approached by a man armed with a knife at an address in the suburb just before 1:30am.

The man demanded money and threatened the driver with the knife, which the driver managed to throw away.

Before running away the offender punched the driver in the face, breaking his glasses and cutting his eye.

The offender is described as an Indigenous man wearing white shorts and no shirt.  

Investigators are calling for anyone who may have witnessed the attack or who has information about the assault to call 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
