Police are calling to witnesses of a dangerous driving incident in the Alice Springs CBD yesterday, to contact them.

It will be alleged Police received several reports from members of the public in relation to a gold coloured Ford Falcon driving in a dangerous and erratic manner around 7am.

A 16-year-old female was subsequently charged in relation to the incident, but Police are now calling for witnesses to contact them.

“This was a very public incident. It was done during peak hour, across the entire CBD and we know a lot of people witnessed dangerous driving,” said Acting Superintendent Pauline Vicary

“I’m aware there is a lot of chatter in regards to the incident on social media, but it would be of more assistance to Police if those who witnessed it came in and provided a statement.”
