Detectives from the NT Police Major Crime Squad are continuing to investigate an alleged aggravated assault which occurred over the weekend in Borroloola.

Officer in Charge of the Major Crime Squad, Senior Sergeant Matt Allen, said the assault was reported to police around 12:20am on Sunday morning.

“The victim sustained serious head injuries and remains in a critical condition at Royal Darwin Hospital,” Senior Sergeant Allen said.

“We are urging anyone with information regarding this assault to contact us on 131 444 or anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
