Youths Charged – Property Crime – Darwin

Northern Territory Police have charged two youths following a series of unlawful entries around Darwin and Palmerston.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Mark Bland from Strike Force Trident said three youths were arrested yesterday after police intercepted a stolen motor vehicle in Ludmilla.

“They were questioned in relation to five unlawful entries of businesses, two service station drive-offs and the unlawful use of a stolen motor vehicle.”

A 14-year-old male was charged with:

  • Unlawful entry (x4)
  • Criminal damage (x4)
  • Stealing (x4)
  • Unlawful use of a motor vehicle (x2)

A 16-year-old male was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

They will appear in Darwin Youth Justice Court on 17 March 2017.

Another 14-year-old male was released for youth diversion.

Northern Territory Police continue to call for information on the whereabouts of 14-year-old George Gilder and 13-year-old Konstanint Lee.

“The youths are wanted for questioning in relation to a series of property and traffic offences. We urge the public to not approach the youths, but to report all sightings to police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.”
