Youth Charged – Unlawful Entries – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police have charged a 12-year-old male following a series of property crimes in Alice Springs between 10 and 16 January 2017.

“Police allege that the youth, in company with others, was involved in six unlawful entries to businesses and residences,” Detective Superintendent Michael White said.

“These include a business in Braitling on 10 January, another Braitling business between 13 and 16 January, a business in Northside on 16 January, two homes in Braitling on 16 January and a business on the Stuart Highway on 16 January.

“Some items stolen from these properties were located at the youth’s residence.”

The youth has been charged with:

  • Unlawful entry - building (x3)
  • Unlawful entry – dwelling (x2)
  • Damage property (x3)
  • Stealing (x6)
  • Trespass
  • Aggravated unlawful use of motor vehicle

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Youth Court today.
