A 56-year-old man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a workplace incident at Wickham Point last night.

Police were called to the site about 8.30pm. The male was declared deceased shortly after.

The incident will be investigated by Police and NT Worksafe, and a report prepared for the Coroner.
