Police

Serious Crime Squad Detectives are investigating an incident involving the discharging of a firearm in Rapid Creek yesterday evening.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant David Allan said police were called to a residence on Rapid Creek Road around 8:30pm.

“Two males had entered the yard and made threats toward a resident.

“As they were leaving one of the men produced a firearm and discharged one round, hitting a vehicle belonging to the residents.

“The males are described as Caucasian and both were of stocky build. Police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have seen a white four wheel drive parked on Rapid Creek Road to please call them on 131 444 or contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

“Four people in the house at the time were not injured and police do not believe members of the public are at any further risk,” Detective Senior Sergeant Allan said.
