Northern Territory Police have notified the families two men killed in yesterday’s plane crash.

The victims are believed to be two Queensland locals aged 23 and 33.

Today, members from the Australian Transport Safety Branch travelled to Darwin to commence their investigations into the exact cause of the crash.

Road closures on Gunn Point, from where the bitumen turns to gravel remain in place. We ask members of the public to avoid the area if possible.
