Two Charged - Cannabis Plants Seized – Tennant Creek

Two men have been charged with drug offences following a search warrant at a Tennant Creek residence yesterday.

“During the warrant, police located 27 cannabis plants growing in the backyard,” Sergeant Paul Lawson said.

“The plants, which were at various stages of growth were seized by police along with a further 250 grams of cannabis plant material.”

Two men aged 45 and 55 were charged with:

  • Cultivate cannabis – commercial quantity
  • Possess a dangerous drug – traffickable quantity

They were remanded in custody to appear in Alice Springs Local Court today.
