Property Charges – Alice Springs

Members from Strike Force Winx have charged a 17-year-old male for property offences in Alice Springs.

Detective Sergeant Trent Abbott alleged the offender was involved in a series of unlawful entries dating back to 2 October 2016.

“On 2 October the offender allegedly unlawfully entered a school in Alice Springs and stole property to the value of $7058.00,” he said.

“On 4 October the offender along with some co-offenders allegedly unlawfully entered a residence in Mount Johns and stole items to the value of $2280.00.

“On 5 October the offender unlawfully entered a business on Stephens Road and stole property to the value of $140.00.”

The offender was arrested on 17 July.

The youth was charged with:

  • Unlawful entry – dwelling (x2)
  • Unlawful entry – building (x2)
  • Damage to property (x2)
  • Stealing (x4)

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
