Missing Person – Larrimah – Update #3

Police

Detectives from Darwin and Katherine are investigating the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Patrick Moriarty.

Mr Moriarty lives alone adjacent to the Stuart Highway in Larrimah 160km south of Katherine. He has a red kelpie dog named ‘Kellie’. He is a long-term and well-known resident of Larrimah. Investigations have established his absence is out of character and unusual as he had a regular routine.

Mr Moriarty was last seen at the Larrimah Hotel at 6:00pm on Saturday 16 December 2017. A comprehensive land and air search has not found any sign of Mr Moriarty or Kellie.

Detectives would like to speak with anyone who may have information relating to Mr Moriarty’s movements after 6pm on Saturday 16 December 2017, including anyone with dash-cam footage who travelled through or stopped at Larrimah.

Mr Moriarty is described as Caucasian, 70 years of age, medium build with tanned appearance, around 178cm tall with short black/grey hair and a moustache.  He was wearing dark-coloured shorts, singlet, thongs and a baseball style cap.

Anyone with information is urged to notify police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 to assist police with their enquiries.
