Northern Territory Police have arrested a 36-year-old Darwin man for the alleged murder of his infant son.

Detective Sergeant Tony Henrys said police will allege the man assaulted the infant in a Northern Suburbs home in 2015.

“Tragically the infant passed away soon after.

“The man was arrested by Major Crime detectives yesterday and today charged with murder.”

He will appear in Darwin Local Court on Monday, 2 October 2017.
