Northern Territory Police have charged a 26-year-old man with drug offences, following a seizure of cocaine in Alice Springs.

Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Malley from the Southern Tactical Investigation Squad said that the man was arrested on 23 June.

“Police will allege that the offender caught a flight from Adelaide to Alice Springs,” he said.

“He was searched at the airport and detectives discovered about 28 grams of cocaine which was seized from his underwear.”

He was charged with:

• Possess and supply traffickable quantity, schedule 1 drug

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Local Court today.
