Northern Territory Police have charged a 31-year-old man following an incident in Alice Springs on 2 May 2016.

Detective Senior Sergeant Allan Milner said the man was arrested yesterday.

“It is alleged the offender assaulted a 41-year-old woman then burnt her clothing,” he said.

The man was charged with:

Aggravated assault (x2)

Damage to property.

He will appear in the Alice Spring Local Court today.
