Northern Territory Police continue to investigate the circumstances around the death of a 39-year-old man near Connor Well on the Stuart Highway, on Tuesday 31 January.

Detective Senior Sergeant Lee Morgan said police have established that five vehicles drove past the site of the incident bewteen11:15pm Tuesday 31 January and 1:50am Wednesday 1 February.

“We have identified two vehicles and excluded them from being involved in this incident and we are working towards identifying the remaining three,” he said.

“If you were the driver of one of these vehicles, we urge you to contact police immediately.  It is possible that one of these vehicles collided with the man however the driver may be unaware that they hit a person, so we are appealing to everyone who was driving in the area at this time to contact police,” he said.

“If you know that you were involved in this incident, please come forward now.”
