Detectives from the Major Crime Squad have interviewed a 34-year-old man in relation to the fatal hit-and-run in Winnellie on New Year’s Eve.

Detective Senior Sergeant Tony Henrys said police will allege this man was the driver of the vehicle at the time.

He will face fresh charges when he appears in Darwin Local Court on 31 January.
