The Territory road toll has risen to 19 following the death of a male truck driver on the Maryvale Rd between Titjikala and Alice Springs this morning.

Early investigations indicate the diesel fuel tanker rolled after failing to negotiate a corner about 9.30am.

The 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road toll is now the same as this time last year.
