A 22-year-old man has died following a fatal motorbike crash in Bees Creek overnight.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Michael Ordelman said the incident occurred around 8:40pm on Lovelock Road.

“It is believed the rider has failed to negotiate a bend in the road, before leaving the roadway and colliding with a pole.

“Nearby residents who heard the crash attempted CPR on the victim before emergency services arrived. However tragically the rider was declared deceased at the scene.

“Investigations into the crash will continue today. It is not yet known if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor.”

The Territory road toll now stands at 8 compared to 9 at the same time last year.
