Northern Territory Police have charged a 33-year-old man following a domestic incident on a 23-year-old woman in a town camp in Alice Springs yesterday.
Detective Senior Sergeant Allan Milner said the man was arrested early this morning.
“It is alleged the offender assaulted woman and then assaulted a 30-year-old woman who tried to intervene. The second woman lost consciousness following the assault.
“A dog was also killed during the incident.”
The man was charged with:
- Assault a female – offender a male
- Armed with an offensive weapon at night
- Commit act of cruelty on animal
- Engage in conduct that contravenes DVO
He will appear in the Alice Spring Local Court today.
