Northern Territory Police and Emergency Services, along with Parks and Wildlife Rangers, are currently searching for two elderly tourists – aged 76 and 73 – missing at Trephina Gorge, north-east of Alice Springs.

Rangers reported their hire vehicle has been parked at the gorge since Friday morning.

A ground and air search was launched Sunday morning.

Anyone who may have been in the area and seen the couple should contact Police on 131 444.
