Charges – Unlawful Entry – Alice Springs

Police

Northern Territory Police have charged a 16-year-old male for unlawful entry following an incident on 1 April.

Senior Constable Mathew Hughes said that the male allegedly stole a vehicle from a residence in Alice Springs about 5:00am.

“Police allege the male, along with a co-offender, stole a black Holden Rodeo Ute, which was located burnt out near Schwarz Crescent a short time later,” he said.

“The co-offender is still outstanding.”

The male was charged with:

  • Unlawful entry - dwelling
  • Damage to property
  • Stealing

He is due to appear in the Alice Springs Youth Court today.

“This is a timely reminder for everyone to be vigilant when it comes to the security of their possessions and properties. Many property offenders are opportunistic and if you don’t lock it, you may very well lose it,” said Senior Constable Hughes.

Police ask anyone who may have information that may assist with their enquiries to call 131444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
